What’s going on, my names Jack Laino and am interning at Red Door Real Estate doing social media marketing. I grew up in Clarence, NY so I’ve lived in the Buffalo area my whole life. For school, I just finished my sophomore year at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY.
Fisher has given me many opportunities in my life so far. Going into my freshman year, I knew what I wanted to do, just not specifically. So, in knowing that I chose the major media management. That includes public relations, advertising, marketing, social media and communications. Fisher has offered me classes to take for each of those.
Also, at Fisher, I play DIII lacrosse for the Cardinals. This past season we won our conference for the first time ever beating the number 15 team in the country. After winning our conference, we got a bid for the NCAA tournament. Our first game was verses Gettysburg. We beat them in double overtime. Our season came to an end verses Williams in the sweet sixteen. Overall, we finished 12th ranked in the country for DIII lacrosse. This past season was a crazy roller costar. Lacrosse has taught me to manage my time and have discipline, which are key to success in collage and life.
Hobbies of mine include being involved with the resealing of streetwear. Brands such as Supreme and Yeezy. The whole buying, selling and economical aspects of it really interest me. And of course, wearing dope shoes and shirts. Another interesting fact is that I DJ for my school. This is new in the past semester, but it’s taken off pretty quickly. I’ve done 2 events at, my college and am doing my high schools post prom as well. It started at a school sponsored music festival to support homeless people and the people who created the event thought that I was very good. Good enough to get an hour for the Teddi Dance for Love. Teddi is a 24-hour dance-a-thon that Fisher does to support Camp Good Days that support childhood cancer. On top of that I am a very big music guy who loves concerts. I’ve seen a bunch of different artists. My favorite two being Kanye West and Travis Scott.
Only being 20 years old going into my junior year, experiences like this is what it’s all about and getting exposure and being in the moment.
